As a key part of the make, move, sell economy, the manufacturing industry is constantly evolving, improving, and adapting to stay ahead of customer demand in challenging times. At our recent 2023 Insights event, Epicor leaders and customers came together to learn, share, and acknowledge those businesses and individuals who used Epicor solutions to make a difference, improve processes, and spark real change:
JR Automation – A long-time user of Epicor Kinetic, JR Automation is driving change in how the world’s leading manufacturers make and distribute products with a range of intelligent, automated manufacturing and distribution technology solutions. Serving customers from the aerospace and automotive industries to consumer products and healthcare, they have worked closely with Epicor for nine years—continuously learning about and improving Kinetic to streamline processes and deliver measurable results.
A.Y. McDonald – A leading manufacturer of water works, plumbing, pumps, and natural gas products, A.Y. McDonald has been family-owned since 1856. The company uses Epicor solutions to optimize quality and exceed customer expectations. They are currently spearheading a digital transformation, looking to roll out Kinetic—described as the foundation of their business—to all of their subsidiaries. This expansion will enable the deployment of Epicor Advanced MES, which has supported the manufacturing and injection molding operations since 2018.
Magna International – Magna International develops technologies, systems, and concepts that make vehicles safer and cleaner—for the people who drive them and for the environment around them. With two sites running in the Toronto area, they are the largest automobile parts manufacturer in North America. They have been running Epicor CMS at one of their locations for four years, taking advantage of many of the latest capabilities of the software.
They’ve also served as a reference and partner for Epicor, constantly seeking ways to improve using Epicor solutions.
Jordan Grove, Kadant: Kadant is a global supplier of technologies and engineered systems that drive and prioritize sustainable industrial processing—they design and manufacture products used in industries ranging from paper to plastics and textiles to tires. While working as an Epicor Developer at Kadant, Jordan Grove discovered major security vulnerabilities in the system. He was able to use his expertise in Epicor Kinetic and cloud technology to turn these findings into an opportunity for innovation and system improvements, protecting the company from potentially costly data breaches and safeguarding its reputation for superior service.
Jayne Scranton, Dayco International: As IT Director of ERP at Dayco International, Jayne Scranton works with Epicor to lead initiatives that drive results, increase innovation, and continuously improve the company’s Epicor CMS solution. She has demonstrated the value of continuous collaboration across the ERP implementation process. Dayco, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of essential engine drive systems and aftermarket services for the automotive industry, uses Epicor CMS to meet the strict delivery requirements and tight production deadlines that its demanding customers expect.
Jacob Wrenn, Tyber Medical: Tyber Medical, an orthopedic device manufacturer enabling rapid access to FDA-cleared and CE marked implants in the spine and extremity/trauma markets, uses Epicor solutions to help analyze actual vs. standard preventive maintenance over time. As a Continuous Improvement Builder, Jacob Wrenn has been leading a project using Advanced MES to review chronic loss data. The results of this analysis will drive significant gains in efficiency and productivity, positioning Tyber Medical well for the challenges of a constantly evolving marketplace.
