Use voice or text to enable EVA skills—specific tasks covering various functions within the Epicor system, including managing items, customers, suppliers, purchase orders, quotes, and more. These skills enable users to interact with the system using natural language, boosting efficiency and accessibility within the enterprise environment.
When you execute an EVA skill through voice or text, EVA’s response may be accompanied by an Adaptive Information Card with easy-to-select choices for more information and related supplemental tasks. This enhances user engagement and further streamlines your workload.
EVA runs on Android™ or iOS™ mobile devices, providing a quick and convenient way for workers in the field to use voice or text to access the information they need or complete a task in the Epicor system. When using the desktop, EVA is accessible via a messaging panel embedded in the Epicor system.
If a query to EVA falls outside the Epicor system scope—something like, “Who are the top lithium suppliers in this region?”—EVA will reach out to Azure OpenAI for that information, enhancing user support. Integrating with OpenAI through Azure ensures that AI-driven analyses and interactions adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, safeguarding your IP and customer and vendor information.
EVA has pre-trained Azure AI platform models that can process multiple types of data inputs or “modes” from the user, such as text, images, and voice from a mobile device. For example, a warehouse worker could take a picture of a part and ask EVA verbally about its availability. This enhances the flexibility and utility of user interactions.
EVA skills and functions are tailored to common tasks in each Epicor Industry ERP Cloud solution. In this manufacturing example, after you ask EVA to create a single-line quote, an RMA, or a single-line purchase order, you use an email button to send the form to your contact right then and there. You can also use Adaptive Information Card functions to select a sales order or AR invoice, and email for further collaboration.
