Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today at Insights 2019 in Las Vegas the winners of the 2019 Epicor Customer Excellence Awards program for the Americas region. The global awards program, now in its fourth year, recognizes innovative organizations that have successfully transformed operations by deploying Epicor solutions and services to achieve excellence in business efficiency, customer experience, and overall performance.
Epicor Customer Excellence Awards programs are run in the Americas, Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, India and Africa. At the conclusion of the regional awards programs, the regional program winners are automatically entered as finalists in their global categories for the Epicor overall “Customer of the Year” award, which will be announced later this year. As part of the award, each winner is honored with $2,000 USD to donate to their charity or nonprofit organization of choice.
“Congratulations to the Americas Customer Excellence Awards recipients for showcasing how Epicor helps them unleash growth and stay competitive in their disruptive industries,” said Steve Murphy, chief executive officer, Epicor Software. The key strength of Epicor lies in our unique ability to deliver industry-specific functionality and technology that fit our customers’ unique processes.”
The following companies are 2019 Epicor Customer Excellence Award winners in the Americas regional program:
Apex Piping Systems, Inc. is the winner in the Cloud Deployment category. Apex’s implementation of Epicor Cloud ERP was completed four months ahead of schedule, with no business interruptions, and the project came in 30 percent under budget. Just 12 months after deploying Epicor Cloud ERP, Apex was able to realize a 12 percent reduction in its IT ERP budget as a result of being able to eliminate the costly upgrades, consultants, and hardware maintenance previously required for an in-house system. Apex achieved a further $25,000 in annual savings by connecting users in remote offices to Epicor Cloud ERP and eliminating redundant functions across multiple departments. View their story here.
The winner of the Technology Innovator category is Epicor ERP customer ACE Clearwater Enterprises (ACE). Having migrated to Epicor ERP 10 in 2017, ACE has achieved significant improvements in cost-of-quality (COQ) and on-time delivery (OTD). In the past five years, COQ has gone from 2.6 percent to 1.1 percent, saving the company approximately $450,000 per year. At the same time, ACE has elevated its OTD rate from 95.9 percent to 98.6 percent, resulting in greater customer satisfaction, as measured by captured business—which in 2018 was 22 percent over the target goal. Kipper Tool Company (KTC) is the Business Transformation category winner. They have used Epicor Prophet 21 to leverage growth and enter new markets. KTC first implemented Prophet 21 over 14 years ago to enable the seamless addition of kitting and production orders to its distribution-focused business. Today, production orders and kitting are two of the biggest revenue generators for the business. Recently, the company has leveraged the Epicor Wireless Warehouse Management solution to increase picking speeds and efficiency by 60 percent, resulting in increased quality and customer satisfaction. “We chose Prophet 21 because we want to be at the cutting-edge of our marketplace,” explained Beth Garrish, vice president of operations, Kipper Tool Company. “When we started this company, we took the decision to do something that no one else did—keep a toolkit that is up-to-date with the most current tools—and that’s the approach we took when choosing which technology we use to run the business. As a company, we need to make data-driven decisions about what we’re going to sell tomorrow, so that we can always be ahead of the curve.”
